Accurate and methodical. This is our grinder. This position requires strength and sensitivity to know when and how much power to put into the trim of the sails. With his capacity for analysis and observation, Andrés shines in this position. He started sailing Optimist at age 6, and at 10 he made his competition debut. Since then, he has had great successes, being 3 times national champion in different classes, J70 World Champion in the Corinthian category in 2021, and excellent participation in the Rio 2016 Olympic Games. He is currently a helmsman at J70 and S40.
